Your Committee on Public Works, to which was referred Resolution No.
930-84, reports as follows :
Resolution 930-84 represents the position of the Public Works
Committee which recognizes the need for recycling of municipal
wastes . The committee is aware that there are entrepreneurs
interested in recycling and that a pilot project may provide positive
answers to this County' s future landfill needs , its energy costs ,
employment opportunities, and our nation ' s allocation of our precious
resources .

Your Committee on Public Works is supportive of and
recommends that the County of Hawaii enter into such a pilot
project . The committee, therefore, recommends adoption of
Resolution 930-84.
