Your Committee on Public Works submits for consideration, Bill 1095,
- Draft 2, entitled "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 20, Article 1,
Section 20-8 of the Hawaii County Code of 1983 Relating to Penalties
for Littering" .
This bill amends the littering penalty provisions of our County Code
by increasing the maximum penalty to 1500 and by providing that the
sentence of public service may be performed with the division of
sewers and sanitation, department of public works, or the division of
parks maintenance, department of parks and recreation.
Your Committee on Public Works concurs with the proposed amendments
to the County Code and recommends passage of Bill 1095, Draft 2, on
first reading.
