Appropriates estimated revenues for expenditures
by the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year
July 1, 1982 to June 30 , 1983. 1

recommends Ordinance Bill 849 be amended as follows :
(1) As in previous years , the Council reinstated
Exhibit A as the controlling element which will
specifically authorize expenditure items ; and
(2) In consistency with the 1981-82 Operating Budget,
the following language which was left out in Section 5 ,
was reinstated: "Any amount remaining in the contingency
at the close of the monthly reporting period shall be
considered as funds available for supplemental
appropriation by the County Council. The monthly budget
status report shall contain a certification by the Mayor
that the funds are current. This report shall be provided
to the Council no later than 30 days after the end of the
reporting period which it covers . "
Further recommends Ordinance Bill 849 , as amended, be adopted by
the Council on second and final reading.
