SUBJECT: MICONIA ORDINANCE
Pursuant to your request, your proposed Miconia Ordinance
has been reviewed,' and the following comments are provided.
1. Penalty - The provision for a fine of $100 is
unrealistic. As we have experienced in other matters,
the Prosecutor' s Office places these kind of offenses at
the bottom of the priority list.
2 . Placement in Code - It is suggested that this bill be
integrated into Article 2 of Chapter 20 "Clearing
Unoccupied Lots, " for which there is already an
established procedure.
Other than the practicability of enforcement, we have no
other comments as to the legality, and defer to the
Department of Public Works as to workability.
