No. 339 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:03 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 339, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 339, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim dated June 15, 2017, nominates <br /> William Chillingworth of Council District 9 to the Hawai`i County Merit Appeals Board. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Judge William Chillingworth. <br /> Judge Chillingworth is a lifelong resident of Hawai`i and is a retired Family Court judge with the State <br /> of Hawai`i Judiciary, where he served for over 20 years. He currently serves as Board President of the <br /> Waimea Preservation Association(Waimea Main Street) and is a former Board member and secretary of <br /> the West Mediation Service. If confirmed, he will serve to fill a term ending December 31, 2021. He <br /> states that he is not affiliated with any political party. <br /> Judge Chillingworth stated that it would be an honor to serve on the Merit Appeals Board. <br /> Several Council Members spoke in favor of his nomination.
