Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Nathan Gaddis to the Banyan Drive Hawai'i
Redevelopment Agency (BDHRA). Mr. Gaddis is a realtor and former marketing
director, an appraisal apprentice, a journalist, and a manager of a small business.
Mr. Gaddis earned his BA degree in Economics from the University of Hawai'i at Hilo
and attended Hawai'i Community College food service program. Mr. Gaddis is
currently involved in commercial and residential real estate including condominium
issues and states he is interested in the "long term aesthetic, cultural revitalization of the
area and economic development" of our island. He was born and raised in Hawai'i.
Mr. Gaddis is an active member of our community and does pro bono public relations
campaigns for many local organizations including the Keaukaha Community
Educational Series, the Hawai'i Island Veterans Memorial, Inc., the Japanese Cultural
Center and many more.
Mr. Gaddis states he is affiliated with the Democratic party. If confirmed, he will serve
to fill a 5-year term ending May 31, 2022.
