OJ�tY OF..... <br /> aL <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •: �''-''� �• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ..4tE GF•Ml�_. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 247 17 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF SEVEN (7) BUSES FROM THE CITY AND COUNTY OF <br /> HONOLULU <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu is donating seven (7) retired <br /> buses to the County of Hawai'i's Mass Transit Agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the buses will be used to provide island-wide public transportation <br /> and to increase the County's spare bus ratio; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i's Mass Transit Agency recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
