Hi there!
I wanted to express my support for Bill 47 that would expand Farmer's Markets to our Public Parks on the East
side of the island. I hear that this is already happening in other areas of the island including Kailua-Kona,
Waimea and Honoka'a. Our big Maku'u farmer's market keeps raising the parking fees, and I'd rather spend that
money with the farmers. Our permanent farmer's market across from Keaau shopping center is not going to be
permanent for much longer. I support making it as easy as possible for local farmers and their customers to
connect :-) I don't want to buy produce that was shipped in from the mainland. No need when we have so much
agriculture here.
