Aloha,
This letter is confirming my support for Bill 47, to expand Farmer's Markets to our Public Parks around the Island,including
Pahoa's new park.
From a local perspective,Pahoa's new park is underutilized,despite its brand new facilities,ample parking,and beautiful view of town.The
ability to hold Farmer's Markets in this location would:
1)Build community around healthy,local produce and products-celebrating the land and culture of Hawaii Island
2)Revitalize downtown Pahoa,still recovering from the recent fire
3)Utilize a multi-million dollar park that often sits empty
