Comm.. 486 : HUALALAI EXCHANGE CLUB REQUEST - ERECTION OF "WELCOME
TO 'KAI'LUA-'KONA SIGN
From Robert D. Triantos, Hualalai Exchange Club., dated
September 10, 1981, renewing his club' s request to
erect a 4`x11` sign, "WELCOME TO KAILUA-KONA" , to be
located on the median strip on Palani Road near the
intersection of Palani Road and Queen Kaahumanu Highway.
From Planning Director Sidney Fuke dated November 18 ,
1981, informing that they concur with the recommendations
of the Kailua Village Special District and Urban Design
Review Commission to approve the request of the Hualalai
Exchange Club, subject to four conditions, as listed,
and recommends that should the Council approve the
proposed sign, the Club coordinate the placement of the
sign with the Chief Engineer' s Office to ensure that
its erection will not conflict with the landscaping and
irrigation system of the medial strip;
recommends Council approve the request of the Hualalai Exchange Club subject
to the four conditions as contained in. C-486. 2 and that the Club coordinate
the placement of the sign with the Public Work' s Department to ensure that
its er.ecti.onwill not conflict with the landscaping and irrigation system
of the medial strip.
