Your Committee on Planning. to which was referred:
1 Comm. 820: GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
From Planning Committee dated May 18 , 1982, submitting
for review, a feasibility study on a general plan
amendment, pursuant to Resolution 350-82.
820. 1: From .Corporation Counsel Stephen J. Menezes dated
May 24 , 1982, responding to the Planning Committee' s
inquiry as to whether the feasibility study dated
May 1982, prepared as a preliminary step in a Council-
- initiated general plan amendment, meets the requirements
of Section 3 (c) (1) of Ordinance 761;
recommends Council accept the feasibility study, conducted by the
Planning Committee, as a preliminary step in a Council-initiated general
plan amendment, pursuant to Section 3 (c) (1) of Ordinance 761.
Further recommends that _a resolution be adopted to direct the Planning
Director to initiate a general plan amendment for approximately 39 acres
of land located at the northeastern corner of Puainako Street and
Kanoelehua Avenue, Waiakea, South Hilo, to change the LUPAG map from an
"Industrial" to a "High Density Urban Development" designation.
