From Planning Commission Chairman Alfredo Orita dated
July 12, 1982, submitting for adoption, a proposed
bill to change the district classification from an
Agricultural 1-acre (A-la) to a Neighborhood
Commercial - 20 , 000 square foot (CN-20) zoned district
at Ponahawai, South Hilo.
Informs the request was denied by the Planning Director;
however, the petitioner appealed the Director' s
decision and the Commission, at its meeting of May 5 ,
voted to reverse the Director' s denial decision based
on Findings, including' conditions of approval;
recommends Bill 869 be passed by the Council on first reading.
