Bill 978: ZONING CODE AMENDMENT RELATING TO UNPLANNED DISTRICT
(Draft 3) USES
(C-1227) Amends Article 18 , Chapter 25 of the Hawaii County Code
1983 , as amended, relating to Unplanned (Ti) District
Uses.

recommends Section 1• of Bill 978 , Draft 3 , be amended as follows:
Item (3) under Section 25-232 (a) (3) , Article 18 ,
Chapter 25 , Hawaii County Code 1983 , to read: " (3) Processing ,
storing, packing, shipping, and selling of agricultural products
grown on the same premises, and with a use permit from the planning
commission, for agricultural products not necessarily grown on the
same premises; provided that where noise or odor impacts on
neighboring properties are anticipated or where the form of the
product is changed, such as by peeling , crushing, slicing, mixing ,
cooking, canning or other alteration of their harvested form, the
site or building used for such activity [shall be at least one
hundred feet from any property line] may be required additional
setbacks from any property line through the plan approval process. "
Further recommends adoption of Bill 978, Draft 4 , on second and final
reading.
