Bill 1025 : REZONING REQUEST - JAMES COSTA
(C-.1385) PONAHAWAI , SOUTH HILO
TMK: 2-5-6 : 131 (24 .432 acres)
Amends Section 25-114 (City of Hilo Zone Map) ,
Article 3 , Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii
County Code , by changing the district classification
from Agricultural (A-5a) to Agricultural (A-2a) at
Ponahawai , South Hilo.

recommends Bill 1025 be amended as follows :
1. Condition (D) under Section 2 . to read: " (D) [the accesses of the
proposed lots and the minimum improvements of Akolea Road fronting
the subject property shall meet with the approval of the Department
of Public Works; ] in conjunction with final subdivision approval of
the first zoning increment, Akolea Road shall be improved and widened
to a 22-foot wide pavement with road shoulders and swales along the
frontage of the proposed subdivision, meeting with the approval of
the Department of Public Works;
2 . Condition (E) be deleted.
3 . Condition (F) be relettered (E) .
4 . Condition (G) be relettered (F) .
5 . Condition (H) be relettered (G) .
Further recommends adoption of Bill 1025 , Draft 2 , on second and
final reading.
