Your Committee on Planning to which was referred Bill No. 1076
entitled: . "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 25-52, Division 7 ,
Article 1, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) , of the Hawaii County Code 1983 ,
As Amended, Relating to Permits Granted Pursuant to Chapter 205 ,
Hawaii Revised Statutes" , reports as follows:
The purpose of this bill is to include the Planning Commission along
with the State Land Use Commission as authority in granting permitted
uses.
Presently, the Planning Commission processes special permit requests
involving less than 15 acres. However , the authority isnot -
reflected in the zoning. code. This billwould include the Planning
Commission in this section of the, code , as authority in processing
permitted uses.
Your Committee on Planning is inaccord with the intent and purpose
of Bill No . 1076 and recommend--s that it pass first reading.
