Victor Jensen ' s rezoning ordinance, reports as follows: Communication No. 1624 requested that the applicant participate in improvements whenever any are initiated in lieu of the 14,000 road improvement deposit required by Condition (E) of Ordinance No. 519. The applicant requested the return of the 14,000 deposit since the funds remained idle and there were no plans for road or drainage improvements for the area. However, since then, the Department of Public Works has initiated plans for drainage and road improvements . In view of this situation, your committee feels that the 14,000 deposit is an undue burden upon the applicant since he was required to install a fire hydrant and water mains . Your Committee on Planning concurs with the applicant ' s request of returning the 14,000 deposit and recommends that this matter be approved and referred to the Planning Department for processing.
