Your Committee on Planning to which was referred Communication 1713,
submitting the names of Tsukasa' Ishii and Gloria Kuuipo "Tweetie" Wong
to the Board of Appeals, reports as follows :
Tsukasa Ishii for a. term to expire "December 31,
1989. He is the Postmaster of Honomu; his
. activities in community affairs include the
Honomu Village Association, the Akaka Lions
- Club, and the Hilo Coast United Church of
Christ. He is an Independent .
Gloria Kuuipo "Tweetie" Wong for a five year -
term to expire December 31, 1989. She is the
Managing Broker of the real estate company,
Acres Plus . She is a member of the Hawaii
Island Board of Realtors and serves as
secretary of the Big Island Democratic
Party. She is a Democrat .
Your Committee on Planning concurs with the above recommendations as
submitted by the Mayor and recommends Council confirmation .
