SUBJECT: Presentation by Hawai`i Electric Light
We respectfully request an hour of time for a presentation entitled"Hawai`i's Energy Future"by
Hawai`i Electric Light President Jay Ignacio and Hawai`i Electric Light General Manager of
Transmission and Distribution, Kevin Waltjen. Thirty minutes should be allowed for the
presentation and thirty minutes for questions and answers.
Attached hereto is the presentation material, which will also be transmitted via electronic means.
Please place this on the agenda for the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Energy
Sustainability meeting set for August 15, 2017 in Kona as this date is best fitting for the
presenter. Further, the presenter is requesting a morning presentation as they have another
commitment later that afternoon in Hilo.
