RESOLUTION NO. 255 17
RESOLUTION CHANGING THE STATUS OF AN ENGINEERING
SUPPORT TECHNICIAN IV (TEMPORARY) POSITION TO BECOME A
FULL-TIME PERMANENT POSITION
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works reallocated position 00-04731
from Projects Coordinator (Temporary), SR-24, to Engineering Support Technician IV
(Temporary), SR-19 in April 2017; and
WHEREAS, this position was funded in Budget Ordinance 17-39 for
FY 2017-18; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works is requesting to change position
00-04731 from temporary status to become a full-time permanent position; and
WHEREAS, this position is needed to provide assistance towards the
County's Bridge Engineering Program and to provide technical support to the Bridge
Section projects; and
WHEREAS, this change will enhance the position's appeal in the recruitment
process to motivate qualified candidates to apply for this position; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
position 00-04731, Engineering Support Technician IV, be changed from temporary
status, to become a full time permanent position.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the Department of Public Works, Finance, and Human Resources Departments.
