Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 55,reports as follows:
Bill No. 55, transmitted by Finance Director Collins Tomei, via Communication No. 366 dated
July 14, 2017, amends Ordinance No. 17-39, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.
This bill increases revenues in the State Grants— Coastal Zone Management account($23,685);
and appropriates the same to the Coastal Zone Management account, bringing the total State
grant amount to $155,663.
Revenue is appropriated as follows:

The above specified amount is appropriated to the fund and expenditure accounts as follows:

There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent
of the Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State govenunents or any other public
body or bodies respecting action to be taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish,
expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be
undertaken pursuant to those powers.

Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 55, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
