Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 56, reports as follows:
Bill No. 56, transmitted by Finance Director Collins Tomei, via Communication No. 367 dated
July 14, 2017, is an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 17-40, as amended, relating to Public
Improvements and Financing thereof for fiscal year July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
This bill adds the Public Works, Road Improvements - Pua, Todd, Baker and Desha Avenues— State
project for$152,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from the State
Capital Improvement Project Funds. Funds would be used to improve roadways and drainage around
Keaukaha School in Hilo.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 56, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
