From Councilwoman Helene H. Hale dated July 15 ,

1981 informing that holders of taxi licenses are
selling or leasing their licenses to other
drivers and suggests that since the holder of a
taxi license does not pay anything for that
license, that person should be required to turn
the license back to the County if he/she is not
operating the taxi rather than profit from a
scarcity of licenses.
Requests that the Legislative Auditor make a
study of this problem and to submit recommenda-
tions .as to possible changes, if desired, in the
County Code governing the issuance of taxi
licenses;
recommends Legislative Auditor be requested to make a study of the
selling or leasing of taxi licenses and to submit recommendations as
to possible changes, if desired, in the County Code governing the
issuance of taxi licenses.
