(Bill 754) From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae
dated July 16, 1981 informing the number of
"bounced" checkshas been increasing each year
and submitsan ordinance bill authorizing the
assessment of .a service charge in the amount of
$7 . 50 for any dishonored check returned to the
County.
If given this authority, they would apply it to
those checks that are not covered within a
reasonably short period of time;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 754 on first reading to
amend Chapter 2, Article 10, Hawaii County Code, as amended, to add
a new section relating to a servicefeefor dishonored checks.
