(Bill 755) OBLIGATIONBONDS

dated July 15 ,. 1981 submittingan ordinance bill
authorizing the sale of $5,000,000 in general
obligation .bonds for projects approved in
Capital Budget Ordinance Nose 696 (1982) ,
586 (1981) , and 443 (1980) , which is in
addition to the ' $2 ,000,000 unissued bonds.
authorized by Ordinance No. 631 on September 29,
1980.
Informsthe new bonding ordinance carries a
10 percent interest ceiling and although they
might not beable to sell bonds at current
market rates, they would be able to borrow
- funds from another ' fund to undertake projects
at this time. With the expected improvement in
the bond market later. in the fiscal year, they
plan to sell the bonds and return the money
borrowedfrom the other fund;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 755 on first reading.
