Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
, Comms 397 : COUNTY FUNDING FOR FEDERAL GRANT PROJECT S
(Bill 758) From Parks &Recreation Director Milton T. Hakoda
dated June 18 , 1981 informing; in order to
qualify any project for assistance from the Land
and Water Conservation Act Fund, the County,
through ordinance, must show that it is capable
of funding the entire cost of each project and
submits for adoption, .a supplementary appro-
priation ordinance bill inorder to initiate the
applications for the following projects:
1. Leleiwi Beach Park Restroom $ 60, 000
2. Leleiwi Beach Park Parking 60, 000
3 . Kailua Park Restrooms 60, 000
4. Bayfront Park Improvements 250, 000
Further informs once construction has started,
and assuming that the project has qualified for
Federal aid,. the County can apply for reimburse-
ment up to 50 percent of the project cost;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 758 on first reading.
