Your Committee on Finance to which were referred:
Comm. 406 : LYMAN HOUSE MEMORIAL MUSEUM REQUEST FOR FUNDS
From Orlando H. Lyman, Director, Lyman House Memorial
Museum, dated July 15 , 1981 informing the appropriation
of $5 , 000 made two years ago for school children and
senior citizens to visit and study the exhibits at the
Museum is nearly exhausted and requests a new appro-
priation of $7 ,500 be made.
Informs the inflation-driven economy has hit museums
as well as everyone else and asks the fee of 75 cents
for children through high school be raised to $1. 00
with the adult fare of $1. 50 remaining the same;

Museum, dated August 5, 1981 submitting letters from
the Department of Education District Superintendent
Kiyoto Mizuba and Director of Elderly Activities
Division George Yoshida, Parks & Recreation Department,
supporting the Museum' s request for financial support;
recommends the request of the Lyman House Memorial Museum be approved
to appropriate $7 , 500 a year covering a two-year period for school
children and senior citizens to visit and study the exhibits at the
Museum; and that the fee of 75 cents for children through high school
be raised to $1. 00, with the adult fare of $1. 50 remaining the same.
