4 Comm. 428 : LUCY HENRIQUES MEDICAL CENTER - MAINTAIN HOURS
(Res . 185) OF OPERATION OF EMERGENCY ROOM
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated August 17 ,
1981 submitting for approval, a resolution to
transfer $25 , 000 from the contingency account to
the Fire Department OCE account to keep the
emergency room at the Lucy Henriques Medical
Center open on weeknights from 5 : 00 p .m. to
9 : 00 p .m. Informs the Waimea-Kawaihae-Waikoloa
area is growing rapidly and believes the one-
time cost of $25 , 000 needed to keep the
emergency room open is justified as the Center
is a key facility in the emergency medical
service network in the County;
recommends Council approve and adopt Resolution 185 .
