CIVIL NO. 5872
From Corporation Counsel Stephen J. Menezes dated
September 4 , 1981 informing on September 5 , 1979 ,
the Council authorized the employment of Valta A.
Cook as special counsel inthe subject civil case
and approved the amount of $10 , 000 for the
contract. The balance remaining of this amount
will not cover part of the work already performed
by Mr. Cook nor cover the remaining work which
needs to be performed; and requests authorization
to amend the contract to add the sum of $4 ,000 to
cover the legal services required. There are
sufficient funds in their special counsel account ;
recommends Council grant authorization to amend the contract of special
counsel, Valta A. Cook, to add the sum of $4,000 to cover the legal
services required in Civil No. 5872 .
