/ Comm. 502 : APPROPRIATION OF STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDS -
(Bill 792) POLICE DEPARTMENT
From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
September 24 , 1981 informing extension of Federal
funding of the traffic enforcement program from
October 1, 1981 to June 30 , 1982 is being processed.
Probability of approval is high, and requests
action be taken to appropriate the funds in order to
expedite use of the funds upon final approval.
In the same supplementary appropriation bill,
requests appropriation of other Federal and State
funds for purchase of a cash register to be used
by the Police Department and for purchase of
services to begin computerization of the police
records system;
recommends Council approve and adopt on first reading, Bill 792 to
appropriate Federal ($454 , 900) and State ($1, 141) funds to the
Police Department for the Traffic Enforcement Program ($430 ,000) ,
Computerized Cash Register ($4 , 600) and Modernization and Standard-
ization of Police Records System ($21 , 441) .
