Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Res. 250 : HEALTH CRISIS AT KONA AND HILO HOSPITALS
Urges Governor George R. Ariyoshi to commission a
Task Force to seek solutions to the serious health
crisis at the Kona and Hilo Hospitals and said
Task Force consider (1) the cause and effect of
the nursing shortage, (2) the nursing salary
dilemma, (3) the red tape involved in the hiring
of nurses , (4) the possibility of permitting the
local hospital administrators the authority to
make their hires , and that a report of their
findings be submitted to the Twelfth State Legis-
lature prior to its commencement on January 20 ,
1982 ;

recommends Council approve and_adopt Resolution 250 .
