COMMITTEE ON FINANCE

Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Res . 283 : SOCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
Supports the continuation of our present social
assistance programs and that the County of Hawaii
make this a priority issue and actively pursue the
appropriate funds at the next State Legislature;
(Intr. by: Miss Lai & Mrs . Hale)
recommends the sixth paragraph of Resolution 283 be amended to read as
follows :
"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County of Hawaii
that it supports the . [continuation of our present] State' s continued
funding of social assistance programs and that the County of Hawaii
[make this a priority issue and] actively pursue the appropriate funds
at the next State Legislature. "
Further recommends Resolution 283 , as revised, be adopted by the Council.
