S.P. NO. 1063
From Corporation Counsel Stephen J. Menezes dated
February 1, 1982 informing in September, 1980 , the
Council approved the hiring of Nakamoto , Yoshioka
and Chillingworth as special counsel in the
subject case, for a contract amount of $6 , 000.
As the defense of the case has exceeded this
amount and more work remains to be done, requests
the Council to approve an amendment to the
contract for an additional $4 , 000. Informs there
are sufficient funds in their department ' s special
counsel account ;
recommends Council grant authorization to amend the contract of special
counsel to add the sum of $4 , 000 to cover the legal services required
in S .P. No. 1063 .
(Messrs . Domingo and Fujii declared
a possible conflict of interest and
abstained from voting. )
