Comm. 800 : DELINQUENT PENALTY FOR LATE RENEWAL OF VEHICLE
(Bill 852) REGISTRATION
From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
May 7 , 1982 submitting an ordinance bill establishing
a 10 percent penalty for late renewals of motor
vehicle registrations . Informs since there will be
no statutory penalty for late renewals after the
Governor signs Senate Bill No. 262 , S .D. 1 , H.D. 2 ,
it is important that the County proceed to establish
its own penalty to be effective as soon as possible
after S .B. 262 is signed;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 852 on first reading.
