Comm. 893 : PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO COUNTY CODE RELATING TO
(Bill 870) FEES FOR MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION
From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
July 13 , 1982 recommending adoption of the proposed
ordinance bill which imposes an additional 50-cent
fee to each motor vehicle registration, pursuant
to Act 135 , SLH 1982 . Informs annually, there
will be about $40, 000 to be collected and deposited
in the revolving fund to be used for beautification
of county highways and disposal of abandoned
vehicles ;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 870 on first reading.
Comm. 893 . 1 : From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated August 6 ,
1982 submitting a report relative to the expendi-
ture of revenues to be derived under Act 135 ;
recommends the communication be referred to the Public Works Committee
to coordinate with the administration on a beautification program for
the expenditure of revenues to be derived under Act 135 .
