Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Comm. 838. 2 : FAMILY CRISIS SHELTER (C-838/FC-208)
(Res . 384 , From Finance Committee Chairman Tomio Fujii dated
amended, & October 1, 1982 informing, subsequent to FC-208
Bill 891) with accompanying Resolution 384 authorizing the
transfer of $100, 000 for the acquisition, renova-
tion and paving of parking stalls for the Family
Crisis Shelter facility, additional reprogrammed
Federal funds were made available for the full
acquisition cost of the facility. Recommends
FC-208 be amended to approve: (1) a bill to
appropriate $25 , 000 for the renovation and paving
work to bring the facility into compliance with
County building standards ; and (2) amended
Resolution 384 to transfer only $25 , 000 for the
project;
recommends Council approve and adopt : (1) Bill 891 on first reading to
amend the CIP budget to add the Renovation and Improvement of County
Facility for Spouse and Child Abuse project for $25 , 000; and
(2) Amended Resolution 384 to transfer $25 , 000 from the Provision for
Compensation Adjustment account to the Renovation for County Spouse
and Child Abuse Facility account.

Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Com. 838: APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR FAMILY CRISIS SHELTER
(Res . 384) From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated May 20 , 1982
informing by Ordinance 646 , the sum of $90 , 000 in
Community Development Block Grant funds were
appropriated to acquire the property which houses
the Family Crisis Shelter program. Total cost to
acquire the property, plus closing costs , renova-
tions and paving of the parking stalls is $190, 000 ,
and recommends the additionalsum of $100 , 000 be
provided by the County;
recommends Council approve and adopt Resolution 384 to transfer
$100, 000 from the Provision for Compensation Adjustment account to
the Family Crisis Shelter account.
