Your Committee on Finance :to which was referred:
Au Comm. 983 : ' AMENDMENT TO REAL PROPERTY 'TAX. ORDINANCE
(Bill 896) From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
September 29 , 1982 informing at the real property
conference of the Hawaii State Association of
Counties , the Real Property Tax Committee recommended
that an amendment be made in the method of assessing
and classifying condominium properties , also
discussion was held on changing the classes of
residential properties from the current single-family
and two or more family classes to the previous
classes (under the State) of improved residential and
unimproved residential; and submits an ordinance bill
to accomplish this .
Informs these changes must be uniform statewide, and
that the City and County of Honolulu has already
introduced a similar measure;
recommends Councilapproveand adopt Bill 896 on first reading.
