Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Comm. 1082 : SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
(Res . 543) POLICE DEPARTMENT
From Director of Personnel Harry Boranian dated
January 19 , 1983 submitting for adoption, a
resolution to amend the salary ordinance to add
five Clerk-Stenographer positions , approved by
the Council (C-1018/FC-271) . These positions are
being established to provide stenographic and
word processing services for police officers in
the preparation of reports and investigations ,
reducing overtime currently required. Funds have
been allocated in Bill 903 , Draft 2;
recommends Council approve the addition of five new positions of
Clerk-Stenographers SR-9 in the Police Department and the accompanying
Resolution 543 be adopted to accomplish this purpose.
