Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
A,e, Comm. 1198 : TRANSFER OF FUNDS - PUNA ERUPTIONS AND FIRE
(Res. 605) EMERGENCIES
From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
April 14, 1983 informing they have received all
bills for hiring private contractors to assist the
County during the eruption and fire emergencies in
the Puna district earlier this year and requests
that funds be provided from the General Fund
Contingency Account to pay these charges , totalling
$116,846 . 78.
Other expenses of overtime, meals , etc. are being
absorbed by departments to the extent that they can,
and recoveries from the State and Federal govern-
ments are being sought;
recommends Council approve and adopt Resolution 605 .
