Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
&L 1209 : KEAAU COMMUNITY CENTER SITE - 'DOCUMENTS
From Mayor Herbert T . Matayoshi dated April 29 ,
1983 informing with Community Development Block
Grant of $75 , 000 and supplemented with County funds
of $50, 000, the County was able to acquire the former
ILWU Hall and cottage located adjacent to the Keaau
Civic Center Complex and Elderly Housing Complex for
$1 for use as a community center to serve the Keaau
area. Since these structures are situated on land
owned by W. H. Shipman, Ltd. , a leasing arrangement
was negotiated with the land owner and submits for
approval, the purchase agreement and leasing
documents ;
recommends Council approve the purchase agreement and leasing documents
for the Keaau Community Center.
