Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Comm. 1272: FUNDING FOR PAAUAU STREAM IMPROVEMENTS
(Bill 989) From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
July 5 , 1983 informing the Corps of Engineers has
estimated that Federal participation to improve
Paauau Stream in the Kau District will amount to
about $1.3 million which includes funds for design
and construction. The County of Hawaii' s responsi-
bility in the project is to secure the lands
necessary to accommodate the stream improvements
(estimated cost to acquire easements and rights-of-
way - $75 , 000 to $80,000) ; and requests appropriation
of $75 ,113 . 66 from the Bond Fund;
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 989 on first reading.
