4w Comm. 1434 : COST ITEMS - FIREFIGHTERS
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated December 12 ,
1983 , submitting for action, pursuant to Sections
89-10 (b) and 89-11 (d) , HRS, the cost items contained
in the collective bargaining agreement between the
State of Hawaii , the City and County of Honolulu,
the County of Hawaii , the County of Maui and the
County of Kauai , and the representatives of the Fire
Fighters bargaining unit, the Hawaii Fire Fighters
Association, Local 1463 , IAFF, AFL-CIO, for the
contract period July 1, 1983 , through June 30 , 1985 .
Informs the cost items are mandated by the
arbitration panel' s decision officially received on
December 2 , 1983 , which is final and binding on both
the union and the chief executives , subject to
approval of all legislative bodies;
pursuant to Sections 89-10 (b) and 89-11 (d) , HRS, recommends Council
approve the cost items contained in the collective bargaining
agreement for the Fire Fighters Unit, contract period July 1, 1983 ,
through June 30 , 1985 .
