Your Committee on Finance makes reference to the following
communication:
4=-u Communication 1541 - Donation from R. B. Swenson
Communication 1541 is a transmittal letter with a $100 donation to
Hawaii County demonstrating Mr . Swenson' s support for Hawaii County
being a `nuclear-free zone .
Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter states that the Council,
on behalf of the County, may accept monetary donations.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation and
recommends that the Council Chairman transmit a letter of
appreciation to Mr . Swenson.
The above action was adopted at the Committee meeting of
April 11, 1984 , by the following vote:
In Favor : Committee members Dahlberg, De Luz , Domingo,
Hale, Kawahara, Lai , and Schutte
Opposed: None
