Your Committee on Finance to which was referred 'Resolution 911-84
reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution 911-84 is to transfer 116, 640 from Police
Administration Division - Salaries and Wages account to the Police
Motor Vehicles account.
The appropriation will be used to purchase two, 3-wheel vehicles to
initiate the proposed Kailua-Kona patrol as presented during the
preliminary budget review. The patrol will consist of three police
officers which will provide one officer each on the 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and
3 p.m.-11 p.m. shifts . This plan is designed to aid in reducing the
crime element in the Kailua village area .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolu ion
911-84 and recommends its approval .
