Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 923-84
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 923-84 is to make a supplemental
appropriation to fund the summer 7-day beach lifeguard operation,
summer fun swimming program, military leave, and projected salaries
and wages deficit, all under the Department of Parks and Recreation.
• The resolution also provides additional funds to cover shortage in
the Council/Clerk postage account.
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter, relating to
appropriations and transfers, Resolution 923-84 appropriates and
transfers $12, 762.72 from the Provision for Compensation Adjustment
account and $863. 75 from the Council/Clerk Mileage and Auto Allowance
account to the Parks and Recreation Salaries and Wages account
($12, 762. 72) and to the Council/Clerk postage account ($863.75) .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent and purpose of
Resolution 923-84 and recommends its approval. I
