Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 953-84,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 953-84 is to authorize the County to enter
into a lease/purchase agreement of a Xerox 8200 copy machine for the
County Clerk ' s Office and to insure that sufficient funds shall be
budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the obligation.
Resolution 953-84 is meant to comply with the provision of
Section 10-11 of the County Charter which requires any contract lease
and other obligation requiring payment of funds from appropriations
of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by
resolution of the Council.
The copier was installed on a 15-month trial basis on April 1, 1983,
pursuant to Proposal No. 799. The County has opted to accept the
copy machine and to enter into a lease purchase of agreement
(45 months remaining) .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the purpose of
Resolution 953-84 and recommends its adoption.
