Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 955-84,
reports as follows :
The Council amended the Mayor ' s proposed budget for the 1984-85
fiscal year by consolidating all overtime allotments into one account
for monitoring purposes. The purpose of Resolution 955-84 is to
restore State funds specifically designated for the coastal zone
management and career criminal programs.
Resolution 955-84 transfers 126,310 from the Provision for Overtime
Compensation account to the Planning Department Coastal Zone
Management Salaries and Wages account (12,078) and to the Prosecuting
Attorney Career Criminal Program Salaries and Wages account
(t24, 232) . Although these funds are being transferred to the
respective salaries and wages accounts, the funds are being set up in
separate overtime accounts to facilitate the monitoring of overtime
charges from the respective programs.
Your Committee on Finance, recognizing the nature of the State
funding, concurs with the intent of Resolution 955-84 and recommends
its adoption.
