Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 1114, reports
as follows:
The purpose of Bill 1114 is to amend Ordinance 84-32, the Capital
Improvement Budget for the fiscal year ending June 30 , 1985 , by
appropriating $591,741 for an emergency operating center for the
Civil Defense Agency. 1
The project will be funded as follows:

I Federal Grant $341,741
i County General Obligation Bonds 250,000
Total $591,741
Federal funds are contingent upon a 50-50 cost-sharing allocation
with the County. The County proposes to make up its share in in-kind
contributions .
Your Committee on Finance concurs that a critical need exists for an
improved emergency operational center and recommends passage of
Bill 1114 on first reading.
