Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication 1690
from Deputy Corporation Counsel John Wagner, relating to the case of
the State of Hawaii vs. Derrik Diego, reports as follows:
Communication 1690 seeks Council ' s authorization to increase the
special counsel contract in the above referenced case by $610.01.
The services of special counsel Douglas Halsted are complete and
Council authorization is necessary before final payment is made.
Your Committee on Finance is in favor of increasing the amount of the
special counsel contract in the State of Hawaii vs . Derrik Diego case
and recommends that Council authorize such action.
