We have reviewed the proposed changes to Condition E in found Draft 2 and have the following
comments:
• Because the intersection of Kanoelehua Avenue and Kahaopea Street is under the jurisdiction of
the State DOT, this Department has only a subordinate interest over the improvement of this
intersection. Consequently, we recommend deleting all references to the Department of Public
Works from this condition.
• Should intersection improvements enter the County section ofKahaopea Street, we can address our
interests and concerns through our permit review process for work within County rights-of--way.
