Your Committee on Finance , to which was referred Resolution
No . 307-87 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 307-87 is to amend the Salary
Ordinance as follows :
Section 8 .14 (c ) . ENGINEERING DIVISION. DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY
1 . Add one position of Assistant Construction Inspector SR-16 .
2 . Add two positions of Construction Inspector SR-19 .
The additional positions are needed due to increased construction
activity for development of water systems and for the department ' s
CIP schedule to keep ahead of water needs . Further , additional
inspectional manpower is needed for the department 's replacement
projects .
The Manager of the Department of Water Supply has certified that
sufficient funds are available and the Waterworks Controller has
certified to the accuracy of the information and the availability of
funds .
Pursuant to Section 3-14, Hawaii County Charter , interim amendments
to the Pay Plan may be made by resolution .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No . 307-87 and recommeds its adop �i .
